Super UGLY Dresser

I'm sure.. well kinda sure,,,,??.. you all remember this dresser from St Vincent De Paul.. Yeah, it's iffy... but there's hope.

After a coat of white paint and some pretty blue knobs.. I think this patient is going to pull thru.

Yeah.. !!!! I knew you could do it.

These are 2.99 at Hobby Lobby.. they have a large selection of unique knobs.. a nice change from the typical hardware store knobs.

Maybe it needs a mirror to go with it.. ?? I'll have to look around and see what I can find in the garage..?

Lonley mirror meets Super Ugly dresser and they become a handsome couple..

and even better yet they found a new home.. and helped to finance the plastic surgery for yet another

OMGosh-- you used my idea...white dresser and those COOL blue knobs...now how much you want for it??? :)

My motivation.

If you've read my profile you know I live in a huge 4600 sq foot house that has 6 bedrooms.. FOR 2 PEOPLE....!!!!! this all started with me trying to fill this giant house with furniture.. For the first year we had alot of empty rooms.. Once I started refinishing things it started filling up.. and it continues to fill up.. The great thing is that I now have a HUGE collection of unique posessions and it's all cost hardly anything..

I've learned alot about tools, paint brushes , stains , drill bits , saws., etc.. I have subscripions to every magazine I can think of... . I've read alot of How to books..and asked the paint lady at Home Depot a ton of dumb questions..

Thrift shopping and refinishing/repurposing has now become my favorite hobby, almost an obsession.. Most of my projects turn out pretty good.. once in a while there's a flop. I'm pretty happy with most of my creations.... plus,,, I'm having so much fun reading blogs and trying out all these marvelous ideas that all the clever women in blogland come up with.. ( and if I do say so myself , a few great ideas of my own. )

Slowly but surely I'm going to fill up this house.

Then we'll move.. lol.:)
